The Deal Management Process (DMP) is for use by students and graduates of the Private Equity Institute to teach them how to work with companies raising private equity capital by showing them how to complete the regulatory documents required to comply with state and federal securities laws in the United States. DMP is designed like tax web sites (TaxAct.com, TurboTax.com, etc), in that redundant questions are asked only once and help is provided so the user can understand how to answer some of the more complicated questions. New forms, are constantly being added, but currently include:
- * SEC Form D (federal notification)
- * Some of the forms required by the larger states
- * Private Placement Memorandum
In future, the questions asked and answered on the DMP web site will allow the creation of Research Reports and "company page", similar to Facebook or MySpace homepage, that will allow companies to introduce themselves to private equity investors in a secure, regulatory compliant website called Private Equity Stock Evaluation (www.pese.com). Confidentiality is a high priority, with access to PESE password protected and restricted to accredited investors with whom we have a substantive relationship. Furthermore, companies have the ability on PESE to show only a limited amount of information to investors who find their company page, and more information only after an emailed expression of interest from an investor is approved by the company.
